About this Tour

❄️ Our Peggy’s Cove winter tour available Nov 1st to May 31st ❄️

The village Peggy’s Cove and her lighthouse have become iconic Canadian images as one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world!

With fewer crowds than in the summer, photographers and outdoor enthusiasts alike can get up close to the lighthouse and have time to compose spectacular images from a snow-covered perspective, capturing a very different image than those traditionally taken during the peak busy season.

At this latitude in winter, sunrise comes later and sunset happens earlier which is ideal for photographers looking to make the pilgrimage to Peggy’s Cove. The winter backdrop usually often has larger and more spectacular waves detonating on the granite base of the lighthouse. Plus, winter is prime lobster season in this part of Nova Scotia from late November to May. There can be lots of activity and we often find the local fisherman and their boats coming in and out of the working cove throughout the day.

The tourists may be fewer but the restaurant and gift shop are open year-round to grab a coffee and warm up inside if need be. If you dress right and have a sense of adventure, winter would be ideal to visit and photograph the centuries-old fishing village and spectacular landscape of Peggy’s Cove with us.
